Gregory J. Devlin is a graduate of Texas A&M University and a lifelong Safety Professional.   He is a Certified Safety Professional, National Safety Council Certified Defensive Driving Instructor, certified in two phases of TWI Lean Manufacturing, and was authorized as an OSHA Outreach Trainer.  He is also American Red Cross certified in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Incident Response. Greg started his career in the insurance industry and made his way to Eastman Kodak Company where he spent 29 years.  Starting as a junior safety engineer, he became a Senior Safety Engineer, HSE Project Manager, and Group Leader.  Since 2006, Greg has been with the University of Rochester, serving as an Industrial Hygienist and Safety Specialist.

Greg has lived in Irondequoit since 1982.  He has two children both of whom graduated from Bishop Kearney High School, are adults, and still live in Irondequoit. Greg volunteered to lead the bingo fundraising efforts while his children attended Bishop Kearney High School.  He is also a former Webelos Leader, Assistant Scoutmaster, and Scoutmaster.  He is currently a National Delegate for the American Society of Safety Engineers, Secretary of the Genesee Valley Chapter of ASSE, and a member of the Regional SPY Committee.

As a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Greg still hopes for and supports an eventual reopening of the church. A lifelong Republican and political conservative, Greg believes passionately in this great country of ours, the richness of our heritage, and the unique ability of every American to pursue the blessing of liberty as guaranteed in the US Constitution.  In that respect, government has grown far too large at all levels and hinders progress and personal enterprise.  We need to get government out of the way and free people and business from the shackles of an over burdensome, excessively expensive, and lumbering government bureaucracy.
